Sculptor and musician Terry Allen’s “Countree
Music,” a native tree, cast in bronze, astride a greatly modified
terrazzo map of the world and accompanied by a soundtrack of original
music, is located in the new South Concourse of Terminal A.
Ed Carpenter’s installation, crafted from dichroic and
patterned glass, is integrated into the central skylight of Terminal
A’s North Concourse. At night, computerized lighting will provide
constantly changing illumination.
Rachel Hecker redesigned the Terminal B elevator core, cladding
the elevators in the ticket lobby in an accordion-fold stainless steel
structure, highlighted by blue light, that references the elements of
the classic box kite.
