Submission Requirements:

To be considered for this commission opportunity, artists must submit the following in HARD COPY OR DIGITAL

Digital: All text files submitted in digital format must be Microsoft Word and images must be JPG format. All digital files MUST be submitted on CD-ROM.

  1. One (1) page letter of interest SPECIFICALLY describing past experience working with large groups of stakeholders to develop a civic art master plan.
  2. One (1) copy of a current resume. The resume should be no more than three pages and printed on white paper in no less than 10-point font. Include name, address, phone, e-mail.
  3. One (1) copy of a synopsis of your resume (25 words or less) to be read aloud to the panel.
  4. Twenty (20) images including no more than ten (10) images of previously completed planning elements (maps, models, concept designs) and ten (10) images of civic art projects, preferably work completed in the past seven years. IF YOU ARE SENDING DIGITAL FILES THEY MUST BE JPG FILES. Otherwise send 35 mm slides:
  5. One (1) of annotated, typewritten slide list identifying slides by number. If the image is part of a planning project, please indicate scope, length of your participation (years or months), collaboration, if any, and commissioning agency. Otherwise please list media, size (HxWxD), title, date, commission cost/ purchase price, and a brief description of the artwork if necessary.
  6. One (1) sample copy of written planning document if available.
  7. Self-addressed, stamped envelope (SASE) with sufficient postage for the return of all submitted materials.

Unless noted otherwise, all materials must be single-sided, 8 ½” x 11” with a 1” left margin. This includes Word Documents. DO NOT USE STAPLES, BINDERS, FOLDERS OR REPORT COVERS.
