Submission Requirements

 

To be considered for this commission opportunity, artists must submit the following:

 

1.   One copy of a current resume. The resume should be no more than three pages and printed on white paper in no less than 10-point font.  Include name, address, phone, e-mail and website.

 

2.   Images:  We are accepting both digital and 35mm slide submissions of images.  Choose either one but please submit both images and annotated slide list in the same format (digital or hard copy.)

 

DIGITAL

A.  Images: A Microsoft Power Point presentation with no more than ten images of completed work. 

1.   Each image to be labeled with your last name and then a two digit number starting with 0. 

Example: first image would be labeled Smith01; next image would be labeled Smith02, etc.

2.   Limit one image per Power Point page

B.  Text:  Annotated slide sheet in Microsoft Word. 

1.   Label each image description corresponding to the label on the Power Point image

2.   include the following information:

a.   artist’s name,

b.   media,

c.   size (H x W x D),

d.   title,

e.   date,

f.     commission cost or purchase price,

g.   brief description of the artwork.

C.  Reflect the highest professional standards in the quality artwork documented and in the manner in which they are presented.

D.   ALL DIGITAL SUBMISSION’S MUST BE ON CD-ROM, NO E-MAIL SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME.

 

OR

 

HARD COPY

A.  Images: Up to ten 35 mm slides of previously completed work.

1.   Slides must be labeled with

                                                                        a.   artist’s name,

                                                                        b.   numbered according to the annotated slide sheet

                                                                        c.   indicate  top and front of slide,

2.   Submit in 9”x12” clear plastic slide sheet.

B.  Text:  Annotated slide sheet printed on white paper in no less than 10-point font.  Include name, address, phone, e-mail

1.   Label each image description corresponding to the label on the Power Point image

2.   include the following information:

a.   artist’s name,

b.   media,

c.   size (H x W x D),

d.   title,

e.   date,

f.     commission cost or purchase price,

g.   brief description of the artwork.

C.  Reflect the highest professional standards in the quality artwork documented and in the manner in which they are presented.

 

3.   Self-addressed, stamped envelope (SASE) with sufficient postage for the return of all submitted materials.

 

Unless noted otherwise, all materials should be in a single-sided, 8 ½” x 11” format with a 1” left margin.  DO NOT USE BINDERS, FOLDERS OR REPORT COVERS.
