Selection Process

This is a two phase competition.  Phase one is a Request for Qualifications.  Please do not submit proposals; submit only what is requested below.  Following this submission up to 3 artists-finalists will be selected.  Phase two will follow a mandatory orientation meeting for the artist-finalists who will then by asked to submit proposals.  Each of these artists-finalists will receive $1,500.  The selected artist will receive an additional $5,500 to finalize the design and orchestrate fabrication.  $15,000 will be available to produce the first batch of 25 benches.

Interested artists are encouraged to submit qualifications to be considered for the short list. 

The deadline for submissions is 5:00 pm, May 09, 2005.  All submissions must be delivered to the Cultural Arts Council offices by this time.  Click here for address information.
