Production Criteria and Budget

The selected artist will identify at least one local shop that will commit to manufacturing the bench in orders of 25 benches at a time for no more than $750/bench delivered to the storage yard.  The bench will be manufactured/built locally in batches of 25 benches.

Physical Criteria

Artist-finalists should be prepared to work with the following physical criteria:

Length:  8’

Acceptable Materials:

Installation/Mounting:  Surface mounted (bolt in place)

Backrest:  Required with a 4” high x 9” wide flat space near the center/top for installation of a brass plaque after installation (by others)

Armrest:  On each end, and in the middle

Artist “Signature”:  Allowed in discreet location
